Discover a new side to Kew at Orchids After Hours.
Enjoy exclusive access to the tropical paradise of the Princess of Wales Conservatory as we celebrate Madagascar. Wander among the vibrant displays of colourful orchids beautifully lit, and enjoy live music, dance and poetry performances, cooking demonstrations and talks by Kew scientists.

- Live performances from artist, singer/songwriter and performer Rasoanaivo Hanitrarivo and poet and illustrator Vaonarivo Brown throughout the evening.
- Enjoy learning about the traditional cuisine of Madagascar with cooking demos by Lilia’s Kitchen.
- Science and horticultural talks from Kew experts.
Plus delicious traditional Malagasy dishes and cocktails will be available for purchase.

- No under 18s permitted. This event is strictly for adults only. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 please be prepared to show proof of age at this event.
- Parts of this event take place outside, so please dress warmly.
- This is an After Hours event and does not permit you entry to the Gardens during the day.
- Bring your print-at-home ticket with you (shown on your phone / tablet) to be scanned at Jodrell Gate.
- Regrettably, the Princess of Wales Conservatory is not fully accessible. Wheelchairs are permitted but mobility scooters are not.
- For the safety and security of everyone, we will carry out full security checks at the entrance gate. Your belongings and your person may be searched so please bring only what is essential to your evening.
- Please do not bring flowers or live plants to the event, as they will not be allowed into the Princess of Wales Conservatory.
- There is no cash point on site. Food and drink can be purchased with cash or card at the bars.
- Last entry is 9pm.
